Building a Fintech with a Mission
When we set out to build FirstFlip, we asked ourselves a simple question: what if a fintech could do more than move money? The answer became the foundation of our launch promise — 100% of transaction fees in our first year will be directed to verified charity homes across Africa.
Why This Matters
Across Africa, thousands of children's homes, shelters, and community centers operate on shoestring budgets — relying on volunteers and small donations to provide food, education, and safety. Meanwhile, billions of dollars in digital value flow through gift cards and crypto every year. We believe a small portion of that flow can change real lives.
How It Works
- Every gift card and crypto transaction on FirstFlip carries a small platform fee — standard for any exchange.
- For our entire first year of operation, every Naira and every Satoshi of those fees will be set aside for charity.
- Funds will be distributed to verified, registered charity homes — starting in Nigeria and expanding across West and East Africa.
- We'll publish quarterly impact reports so the community can see exactly where the money goes.
This Isn't Marketing — It's the Mission
We are not framing this as a "donation campaign" or a temporary promotion. It's a structural commitment baked into our launch. When you trade on FirstFlip during year one, you are not just getting fast Naira — you are quietly funding a child's meal, a school book, a safe bed somewhere on the continent.
How You Can Help
The single most powerful thing you can do is use FirstFlip and tell others. The more transactions we process, the more we give. You can also:
- Download FirstFlip or join the iOS beta
- Share our story on social media
- Reach out if you run or know a verified charity home that should be considered
- Support us directly through our public support channels
A Different Kind of Launch
Most startups launch to capture market share. We're launching to build something that matters. By trading with FirstFlip, you're not just supporting a business — you're helping write a new playbook for what African fintech can be.
Thank you for believing in this with us.
